about the site

in case you were wondering where the name comes from, here is a song that should provide a clue:

brown eyed women, dave’s picks vol. 9:

inspiration

Brown-eyed women and red grenadine The bottle was dusty but the liquor was clean. Sound of the thunder with the rain pourin’ down And it looks like the old man’s gettin’ on. 1920 when he stepped to the bar Drank to the dregs of the whiskey jar. 1930 when the wall caved in He made his way selling red-eye gin. Robert Hunter

enjoy.

  1. Cool name for your website. I love the songBrown Eyed Women. I have been looking for info on red-eyed gin like how was in made, was in a bootleg product and who drank it. I am still looking and just wanted to say I like your site.
